As the Service Design Lead at dot., Irune takes a holistic approach that integrates products, services, and experiences to deliver synchronized and effective systemic solutions for diverse stakeholders. Her pioneering and unique vision, blending engineering with service design, has been featured in notable publications like This is Service Design Thinking. Irune’s methodology incorporates advanced anthropological and cultural analyses, stringent market efficiency standards, and sustainability, equality, and inclusivity principles. This multifaceted perspective has equipped her with significant expertise in managing projects focused on developing territorial strategies for social innovation and fostering impactful public-private alliance ecosystems.
Prior to founding dot., Irune participated in the first master's program in Europe dedicated to Service Design at Aalborg University (Denmark). She gained international experience working on projects related to social innovation and impact entrepreneurship in emerging countries such as Bolivia, Ecuador, Senegal, Mauritania, and India.
Additionally, Irune has served as a university professor and coach at Mondragon Team Academy (MTA) in the LEINN program (Bachelor’s in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation). She also taught courses in the Faculty of Engineering in Mondragon University, focusing on “Design of Product-Service Systems.”
