Didheya is a company that develops stainless steel handles and accessories for the furniture and public transport sectors. In this project, we explored areas of opportunity to highlight the added value of their processes and to provide new technological functionalities to their products.

Challenge: How do we convey the value that our products bring to spaces?

With over 30 years of experience in the design and production of stainless steel elements, Didheya manufactures handles for furniture and other accessories for sectors such as public transport. Their products stand out for their contemporary designs, ergonomic solutions, and high-quality finishes. However, auxiliary markets like theirs often face the challenge of revaluing their products so that their true worth is recognized by customers, showcasing the engineering know-how behind each design.

In this strategic innovation journey, we defined several objectives:

Identify the change agents within the organization and implement an innovation culture capable of encompassing strategic projects related to new industrial clients.

Discover the main trends in urban mobility and conceptualize the solutions manufactured by Didheya.

Describe the key users of Didheya and the specific needs of each.

Strengthen the company's positioning beyond its products by generating a specialization area that can be offered in innovation projects with clients.

Design the innovation strategy for the next two years, creating a roadmap for the various lines to coexist and evolve organically within the organization.

Solution: "We are experts in interaction"

Despite being small accessories and hardware, the perceived quality of users with different furniture elements and spaces lies in the points of interaction, and in this assessment, Didheya products are highly relevant. That's why Didheya opened a specialization line in the area of interaction that supplies all its new products.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, following the execution of the project, the importance of developing safe and antibacterial surfaces became evident, especially in high-traffic public environments. This product line was already in development at the company and, as a result, they gained significant entry into public spaces like trains for CAF and buses for IRIZAR—new clients who recognized Didheya's expertise.

Furthermore, Didheya initiated innovation lines to incorporate technologies into its handles, positioning themselves as integrators of new solutions.

Thus, thanks to the commitment of the Didheya team, we began a long collaboration in which we identified the organization's main challenges and the experience in interaction. This cultural shift is positioning the company not only as suppliers of handles for industrial clients but also as innovation partners, offering solutions related to interaction in both public and private environments.
