Challenge: Diversify to shape the future

After identifying a significant crisis due to the decline in orders from its own clients, Elexalde turned to dot. with the aim of creating its own products to gain autonomy while leveraging its excellent facilities and woodworking production machinery. Through a strategic partnership with dot., the project's focus was to analyze Elexalde's key internal strengths for naval manufacturing and identify market opportunities for developing new own products.

Additionally, the project involved examining Elexalde's production plant to pinpoint underutilized machinery that could be activated for the manufacture of new products, ensuring that the new production line coexists harmoniously with its traditional manufacturing processes.

Solution: New modular furniture solutions

Our homes reflect our personality and experiences. They can serve as a refuge and a space for togetherness, but they can also function as an office, a gym, a library or a playground. Today's homes are open—both in terms of space and in how we interpret them.
KIMO, let's play.

KIMO is a new furniture brand where the designer is the user himself.

We’ve created the first modular cladding system that can be applied interchangeably to walls and ceilings. Crafted with the highest quality wood and finishes available on the market, our system features a “plug & play” fixing method borrowed from naval construction, eliminating the need for professional installers.

KIMO is also a line of modular furniture that adapts to any space, style, or situation, allowing you to quickly compose new pieces and arrangements—just as life within our homes evolves.
