My Xplorer Quiz | Discover your traveler personality

Following an anthropological analysis focused on the main behaviors of various types of travelers —from the way they plan their trips to their behavior at the destination and the attributes they value most about the places they visit— several key dichotomies were identified that allow us to define different personality profiles. The main objective of this study was to optimize the personalization of the offer, revolutionizing the process of understanding the client.

To make this process more friendly, fun and viral, we designed an interactive quiz. We identified the key questions that allow us to classify each user within the identified behavioral patterns, transforming the 8 personalities identified in the analysis into fun animated characters.

Recognizing that travel needs change according to life stage and time, and that we all possess traits of different archetypes, the quiz simplifies the tedious process of getting to know the customer through a test with binary answers in which a single traveler archetype is arrived at. This information, in addition to entertaining and amusing XPLORA's customers, is invaluable for offering more personalized tour packages tailored to each profile.

In the design team we set ourselves the challenge of creating non-anthropomorphic characters with which any person could be represented. Our goal was for the test to generate an emotional connection based on tenderness, transmitting the innocence and purity inherent in the personalities we identified. To achieve this, we designed 8 characters based on simple geometric shapes and rubbery textures that evoke the nostalgia of childhood.

Each character was developed with its own imaginary linked to the dichotomies that define each personality. During the animation phase, we explored specific gestures and tics that shaped the infinite loops of actions characteristic of each “Xplorer”. As these characters came to life, we assigned them simple, genderless names, thus reinforcing the emotional bond between the people and their avatars.
