Challenge: How is a prevailing narrative transformed?

In Impacta+, three innovation labs were created that have worked in a coordinated manner for approximately two years on different identified innovation levers: the New Narratives Lab (led by dot.), the Scaling and Training Lab (led by UpSocial), and the Public Policy Lab (led by Red2Red).

Through these labs, we have penetrated the social entrepreneurship ecosystem, engaging various stakeholders such as universities and training centers, startups, accelerators, investors and social entrepreneurs themselves, addressing the barriers that prevented more people from accessing the world of social entrepreneurship.

Solution: Inspiring from underrepresented groups and realities in entrepreneurship

From the New Narratives Lab, led by dot., we initiated a working process that included the voices of social entrepreneurs from diverse identities to identify and describe the current challenges in the sector and design new future scenarios. Through this process, we identified two areas of impact that had been underrepresented, presenting an opportunity to address them in order to fulfill the project's overarching goal of making the messages of social entrepreneurship more accessible and diverse:

Social Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas MIES

National Platform for Connecting and Integrating Initiatives, Organizations, and Individuals Promoting Impactful Rural Entrepreneurship.

Implementing Team: Alma Natura, Revista Salvaje, Terra Da Agua.

Social Entrepreneurship led by Migrants and Minorities ERES

A producer of new narratives in social entrepreneurship, ERES boasts a diverse community of over 40 social entrepreneurs. From the voices of this community, the first Diagnosis of Social Entrepreneurship for Migrants and Minorities in Spain has been created, along with the ERES Seal, a tool for better diversity management in any environment.

Implementing Team: dot., Talento Para el Futuro, Voice ES, Startup Commission.
